We are currently seeking an Applications Technologist to join a global innovator in UV-based disinfection and treatment technologies, based in Berkshire.
As an Applications Technologist, your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and refine applications for UV equipment across a range of water, air, surface, and process use cases.
- Conduct research, literature reviews, and on-site practical studies with partners worldwide.
- Perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations using ANSYS to optimize system performance.
- Collect, analyse, and present data from trials and modelling activities.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused insights.
- Support the creation of technical and commercial materials for internal and external audiences.
- Identify emerging application opportunities and contribute to prioritisation of R&D efforts.
As an Applications Technologist, You will have:
- Degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Experience with CFD, MATLAB, Python, or other computer-based modelling tools.
- Strong research, data analysis, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to manage and perform practical on-site studies.
- Collaborative, customer-focused mindset.
- Experience with ANSYS Fluent.
- Knowledge of UV disinfection, water processes, and photobiological/photochemical phenomena.
- Scripting for data processing and automation.
