The Role
As a School Cleaner, your responsibilities will include:
Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms and communal areas.
Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising designated areas.
Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene throughout the school.
Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely.
Following all school health and safety procedures.
Reporting any maintenance issues or potential hazards to the site team.
Working efficiently as part of a team to ensure school facilities remain clean and presentable.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous cleaning experience within schools, commercial premises or similar environments.
A strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety procedures.
An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
The ability to work independently and take initiative.
Professional references covering the previous three years.
Good communication skills and a positive, reliable approach to work.
