How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
    Daily Rate: £143 - £240 per day (dependent on experience)
    Contract Type: Rolling Long-Term Contract (Term Time Only)

    Clarence Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Rugby, Warwickshire to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Drama for an ongoing rolling contract starting as soon as possible.
    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful Performing Arts department, delivering engaging and creative Drama lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop confidence, communication skills, creativity and a genuine appreciation for performance and the arts.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will:

    Deliver engaging and inspiring Drama lessons across KS3 and GCSE.
    Encourage creativity, collaboration and self-expression through performance.
    Plan, prepare and assess high-quality lessons that support student progress and achievement.
    Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
    Support students in developing confidence, communication and performance skills.
    Prepare pupils for internal assessments and GCSE examinations.
    Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement.
    Contribute to the continued success and development of the Performing Arts department.
    Support school productions, performances and extracurricular Drama activities where appropriate.
    Foster a love of the performing arts both inside and outside the classroom.

    We Are Looking For Someone Who:

    Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
    Has experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting.
    Can confidently teach Drama across KS3 and GCSE.
    Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
    Is passionate about inspiring students through creative and engaging learning experiences.
    Has strong organisational, communication and planning abilities.
    Is committed to achieving positive outcomes for students of all abilities.
    Works effectively as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
