How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Location; North Notts College, Worksop

About the Role
Are you passionate about empowering young people, building essential life skills, and helping students achieve their full potential?
RNN Group is looking for a proactive, collaborative, and highly organised Personal Development Coordinator to join our Student Support team.
In this dynamic role, you will design and lead an engaging programme of activities, enrichment, and events across our college campuses. You will work closely with students to discover their needs, bridging knowledge gaps and giving them the vital personal and employability skills required to thrive in their careers and life.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Activity & Event Coordination: Design, coordinate, and deliver a comprehensive programme of cross-college enrichment activities, student leagues, tournaments, and personal growth workshops.
* Partnership & Collaboration: Connect with external stakeholders and specialist organizations to host guest speakers covering key areas such as road safety, sexual health, and growth mindset.
* Student Voice Leadership: Lead focus groups and oversee the Students' Union Team to ensure student clubs and societies are genuinely driven by the student voice.
* Triage and Holistic Support: Work in a trauma-informed way to create a psychologically safe environment. Act as triage to identify student barriers and connect learners with internal specialists (Safeguarding, LAC Leads, Wellbeing Mentors).
* Safety & Compliance: Manage effective risk assessments and ensure all on-site and off-site events comply with standard health and safety requirements.
Key Objectives
* Maintain a highly consistent and high-quality personal development offer across the wider RNN Group.
* Provide active opportunities for students to develop their Cultural Capital through curated off-site and on-site events.
* React quickly to local and national trends or risks by initiating discussions and awareness information campaigns.
* Actively work with key curriculum staff to cultivate positive behaviours and personal progress across all college campuses.
You will have…
Essential Experience & Qualifications
* Education Sector: Proven experience working inside an educational environment.
* Stakeholder Relations: Experience building effective partnerships with external stakeholders.
* Event Planning: Experience organising, delivering, and reviewing training sessions, enrichment activities, or large-scale events for young people.
* Literacy & Numeracy: Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable Criteria
* Relevant Qualification: Level 2 or equivalent in teaching, personal training, event management, or a related field.
* First Aid: A valid First Aid qualification (or willingness to work towards achieving one).
Core Skills & Personal Attributes
* Strong knowledge of Safeguarding, Data Protection, and Equality & Diversity protocols.
* Ability to work methodically, prioritize multiple tasks, and work flexibly across team boundaries.
* A high degree of professional integrity, maintaining strict confidentiality while dealing with sensitive student matters.
We understand that no candidate will perfectly match every qualification or criterion listed. If your experience differs from what we've outlined but you believe you can contribute to this role, we encourage you to apply!
Department Info
You will report directly to the Personal Development and Enrichment Team Leader.
You will work collaboratively with campus colleagues in both curriculum and student support teams to identify specific student needs. As a key member of a broader team, you will collaborate across alternative RNN campuses to share best practices, deliver consistent group-wide events, and provide cover when needed.
You will work alongside peers in a trauma-informed way, fostering connection and building a psychologically safe, supportive space for learners.
Our excellent benefits and rewards package:
* Access to local government pensions scheme (with employer contributions from 15.6% to 23.68%)
* Access to our gyms, restaurants and salons
* Staff health & wellbeing and benefits schemes including in-house Occupational Health service
* Extensive wellbeing support through a digital Wellbeing Hub that offers a broad range of support for physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
* Full, part time and flexible working hours available in many roles
* Free Parking available at all of our sites
* Fantastic career development opportunities including funding for teacher training, apprenticeships and various other industry recognised qualifications
* New FE teachers can also apply for grants of up to £6,000 in STEM subjects (conditions apply) through the teacher retention initiative
* Recruitment Referral Scheme for all employees, worth £200 per referral made
