How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Worksop College and Ranby House form one community across two schools, educating children from age two to eighteen. We are a broad-ability school focused firmly on progress, recognising each child's individual skills and abilities—whether academic, sporting, musical or otherwise. We believe education is about human flourishing, enabling each student to become the very best version of themselves. Our exceptional facilities, talented teaching staff, and stunning setting create the ideal environment for students to thrive, whether pursuing university entrance, developing sporting excellence, perfecting artistic or musical talent, or discovering new abilities.

    The role

This newly established position plays a central role in developing a diverse and sustainable international boarding community at Worksop College. You will be an integral member of a small, fast-paced Admissions team, delivering a high-quality, personalised admissions experience for overseas families and international agents.

    What you'll be doing

    International Strategy

Work in close partnership with the Director of Admissions to shape and deliver a comprehensive international recruitment strategy aligned with the School's objectives and pupil targets. Use data-led market insight to identify key trends and emerging opportunities for growth across international markets. Identify and evaluate long-term strategic partnerships with feeder schools, scholarship organisations, international schools, agencies and other stakeholders to strengthen the recruitment pipeline. Monitor global market activity and agent performance, providing clear reporting and insight to inform strategic planning and day-to-day recruitment activity. Produce regular, detailed reports on enquiries, conversion rates, agent effectiveness and pupil numbers. Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to create targeted publications, campaigns, advertising and digital content tailored to specific countries and regions.

    Events and Travel

In collaboration with the Director of Admissions, develop and deliver an annual international travel plan in line with the recruitment strategy. Represent the College at overseas and online recruitment events to strengthen presence, profile and visibility in key markets.

    Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with international agents, using the British Boarding Schools Network (BBSN) database and ensuring accurate records. Identify key existing and emerging markets and develop strong relationships with educational consultants and agents. Manage agent contracts, ensuring they are accurate and updated annually, and authorise all pupil commission invoices. Implement a structured agent engagement strategy, providing regular updates and campaign materials in collaboration with the Head of Marketing. Build and maintain effective relationships with alumni, engaging them in recruitment activities as appropriate.

    Admissions

Lead the full admissions journey for international boarding pupils from first enquiry to arrival on campus, delivering a highly personalised and engaging experience. Work closely with the Head of Boarding and pastoral teams to ensure every new boarder feels welcomed and confident during their transition. Respond to enquiries and manage applications efficiently and sensitively, offering clear, timely and reassuring guidance throughout the process. Ensure the College remains fully compliant with UKVI requirements, maintaining accurate records and robust processes. Champion boarding internally, partnering with staff across the College to highlight the contribution boarding makes to the pupil experience.

    What you'll bring

A confident and engaging relationship builder with a positive, solutions-focused approach to delivering an outstanding customer experience. You have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to represent the Foundation professionally to a wide range of audiences. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working cross-functionally to achieve shared recruitment and marketing goals.

You are proactive, self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of initiatives and opportunities. You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences, cultures and markets. You are highly digitally confident, able to use CRM systems, data and online platforms to support recruitment activity. You pay excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines, priorities and competing demands.

You ideally have experience in international student recruitment, admissions or education marketing, familiarity with CRM systems and lead-tracking tools, and are educated to degree level or equivalent. You have a proven ability to work to targets and contribute to growth-focused recruitment or sales objectives.

    What's on offer

Working at Worksop and Ranby House is as much about a lifestyle choice as it is pursuing a satisfying career. We reward our staff with an attractive benefits package, including: fee concessions for your children, workplace pension scheme, access to gym, sports hall and swimming pool, free meals when on duty, and free onsite parking.
