Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days home following successful completion of probation
Are you an organised, personable Administrator who enjoys speaking with customers, solving problems and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes?
We are looking for a Business Services Administrator to join a busy and supportive team within a well-established organisation delivering essential services to local authorities and housing associations.
This is a varied role where you will be right at the heart of the day-to-day operation, supporting customers, engineers and Contract Managers and making sure jobs, inspections and communications are properly coordinated.
What will you be doing?
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Responding promptly and professionally to inbound telephone and email enquiries from housing association and local authority tenants.
Accurately logging communications and ensuring records remain complete and up to date.
Scheduling and coordinating routine inspections and small works for field engineers.
Monitoring customer portals and updating job progress and completion information.
Handling queries from both customers and engineers and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
Supporting Contract Managers with general administration.
Helping ensure contractual requirements and agreed service levels are met.
Managing multiple priorities within a busy, collaborative working environment.What are we looking for?
You do not necessarily need experience from exactly the same environment.
We are particularly interested in people who have previously worked within administration, customer service or customer support, ideally within housing, compliance, engineering services or another busy service-led environment.
You will need:
Strong telephone and written communication skills.
Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
Confidence dealing with customers and resolving queries.
The ability to manage several tasks and priorities at once.
A calm and professional approach when things get busy.
Experience using internal systems, CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.

You will be joining an established team of 12, structured across three smaller teams with Team Leader support.
Following probation, the role also offers a hybrid working arrangement of three days in the Harlow office and two days working remotely. Most importantly, this is a role where the administration you provide has a genuine purpose – helping coordinate services that support housing tenants and contribute to the delivery of important compliance and safety-related works.
