Senior Accountant – Practice Experience Required
Location - Henley in Arden, Warwickshire - Office based
Full-time and part-time are available
Salary: £35000 to £45,000 (pro rata, depending on experience) + Benefits

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and take ownership of a client portfolio.
The Role
This is a key position within the firm, ideal for someone who enjoys both technical work and client interaction.
You will be responsible for managing your own client portfolio, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and supporting junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors
* Prepare and review:
* Statutory accounts (FRS 102 / FRS 105)
* Management accounts
* Corporation tax returns
* VAT returns
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice
* Support and review work of junior staff
* Ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House deadlines
* Identify opportunities for additional services (tax planning, advisory, etc.)
* Assist with onboarding new clients and improving internal processes
Requirements
* Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an accountancy practice
* ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or equivalent (or qualified by experience)
* Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations
* Experience managing a client portfolio independently
* Proficient in cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
* Excellent communication and client management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
