TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision in Swindon that supports children and young people who may struggle within mainstream education due to social, emotional and mental health needs / SEMH, Autism / ASD and associated barriers to learning. The setting promotes a nurturing and therapeutic approach, encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships through personalised learning and strong pastoral support.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated English Teacher on a full-time temp to perm basis starting ASAP. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons to secondary aged students, supporting learners with EHCPs and additional needs while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic and emotional progress.
The successful English Teacher will have:
• QTS with an English specialism
• Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND including SEMH and ASD
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• An engaging, resilient and proactive teaching approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
