How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Working Site Foreman c£45,000
    Fulltime | Permanent | UK wide travel required

    If you take real pride in your work, enjoy leading from the front, and want to feel genuinely valued by the people you work for, this role will feel like home.

    We’re recruiting on behalf of a small, family owned construction business with a reputation for graft, loyalty, and looking after their team. They’re the kind of company where everyone knows each other, everyone pulls their weight, and there’s always room for a bit of banter alongside the hard work. No egos, no politics, just a solid group of people who have each other’s backs and are passionate about what they do and what they deliver! Values of projects range from £000's to their largest currently being £8million.

    Because they’re small, they invest heavily in the people they bring in. You won’t be a number. You’ll be trusted, supported, and given the chance to learn more, take ownership, and genuinely be part of the business as it grows.

    Ideally, you’ll be based around the Reading, Swindon / Chippenham areas, but strong candidates from further afield will absolutely be considered, especially those who are comfortable working away from home when projects require it.

    The Role:

    As a Working Site Foreman, you’ll lead site operations while working hands on alongside the team. You’ll be the person who keeps things moving, maintains standards, and ensures each project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high quality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Supervise and co-ordinate site labour and subcontractors

    * Carry out hands on construction work as required

    * Read and interpret drawings and specifications

    * Maintain site safety and deliver toolbox talks

    * Ensure quality control and adherence to project timelines

    * Manage materials, equipment, and daily site reporting

    * Report progress to the Project Management Team

    What You’ll Bring:

    * 3+ years’ construction experience, including supervisory responsibility

    * Strong understanding of construction methods and site processes

    * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

    * Confident leadership and communication skills

    * Valid driver’s licence

    * SMSTS (preferred but not essential)

    * First Aid (preferred but not essential)

    What’s On Offer:

    * Competitive pay

    * Company vehicle

    * Benefits package including health insurance

    * A genuinely supportive, tightknit team

    * Stability, longterm opportunity, and the chance to grow with the business

    If you’re passionate about what you do, love the Construction industry, have experience of working as a Supervisor or Foreman on Construction Sites, enjoy being accountable for your own work, and want to be part of a company that values loyalty, teamwork then this could be the perfect next step in your career.

    We are interviewing for this role with immediate effect so do not delay in sending us your CV as we don't want you to miss out on this opportunity.

    To ensure that your application receives the fullest possible attention, it is essential that you consider carefully the role that you are applying for, please ensure that your CV contains all relevant information about yourself in relation to the specific role advertised.
