Back End Developer
Location: Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 DOE

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a talented Back End Developer to join their technology team based in Thornaby.

As a Back End Developer, you will play a key role in the development, optimisation, and maintenance of server-side applications, helping to ensure performance, scalability and reliability across the company's digital platforms. You'll collaborate with a close-knit technical team, contribute to innovative solutions, and help shape the future of the organisation's technology landscape.
 
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and optimise web applications using C# and ASP.NET Core MVC
Design and implement robust back-end services and APIs
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
Explore and implement new database and application technologies to improve performance and functionality
Design and maintain efficient database architectures
Produce clear technical documentation for systems and development projects
Provide application support, troubleshooting and issue resolution
Contribute to both customer-facing applications and internal business systems
Ensure applications remain secure, scalable and high-performing Essential Skills & Experience
Commercial experience developing applications using C# and ASP.NET Core MVC
Experience working with Azure DevOps
Strong knowledge of Azure SQL
Experience using Git for version control
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Understanding of scalable application design principles
Strong debugging and unit testing skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment Desirable
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Experience working within an Agile development environment
Knowledge of Continuous Integration and DevOps practices
Experience evaluating and implementing new technologies and solutions What's on Offer?
