How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.

We are looking for a Residential Care Worker to join our amazing team as we prepare to welcome a new child to our home. 

If you love working with children, especially those who may have experienced adverse childhood experiences, are dedicated to helping them grow and develop and want to provide a calm, nurturing presence, we'd love to hear from you.

Role Highlights

Job Title: Children’s Residential Care Worker
Location: Newark (NG24)
Salary: £29,232 plus £80 per sleep ins 
Hours: 40 hours per week including weekends and bank holidays
The Home: Beautiful 4-bedroom home with a new child moving in soon!

The Role

As our new Children’s Residential Care Worker, you will:

Work as part of a team to ensure the children are looked after 24/7, creating a safe, loving, nurturing home.
Complete household tasks to ensure the home remains clean and tidy.
Get to know the kids – what they like, what they need, and how to support them
Provide calm, reassuring care
Plan and prepare homecooked meals.
Organise activities and events around hobbies, interests to capture imagination and engagement.
Follow and update care plans, handover sheets and other relevant documentation
Follow our therapeutic model to help them stay calm and feel safe during dysregulated moments
Support school attendance and engagement.
Be a team player creating a great working environment within the home
Be a key support for the Home Manager to achieve and maintain an OFSTED rating of good or outstanding
Prioritise your continual development and be open to learning new things

A driver – A full UK licence is essential to use our home’s car for school runs and activities
Safe to work with children – An enhanced DBS with child barred list check is required – if you don’t have one, we will request a new one for you and get your registered on the DBS Update Service.
