How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Get to know the kids – what they like, what they need, and how to support them
    Provide calm, reassuring care
    Plan and prepare homecooked meals.
Organise activities and events around hobbies, interests to capture imagination and engagement.
Follow and update care plans, handover sheets and other relevant documentation
Follow our therapeutic model to help them stay calm and feel safe during dysregulated moments
    Support school attendance and engagement.
Be a team player creating a great working environment within the home
Be a key support for the Home Manager to achieve and maintain an OFSTED rating of good or outstanding
Prioritise your continual development and be open to learning new things

Confident – You’ll handle challenges, advocate for children, and be their voice
Flexible – You’ll work a mixed rota of long days, evenings, sleep-ins, and weekends – we plan ahead but value your support when things change
A driver – A full UK licence is essential to use our home’s car for school runs and activities
Safe to work with children – An enhanced DBS with child barred list check is required – if you don’t have one, we will request a new one for you and get your registered on the DBS Update Service.
