Salary: £50-55kWe are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from initiation to completion. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Manager will manage resources, coordinate teams, engage stakeholders, and mitigate risks, making it an ideal position for someone with strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of construction processes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination
Develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to meet project specifications.
Track progress and ensure alignment with the approved plan.
Team Leadership and Management
Lead and support cross-functional teams including engineers, managers, and administrative staff.
Delegate tasks efficiently and provide strategic direction.
Foster a collaborative, productive, and accountable work culture.
Budgeting and Cost Control
Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and control costs.
Identify and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or safety.
Scheduling
Utilize tools like Microsoft Project or Primavera to develop project timelines.
Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to timelines.
Risk Management
Proactively identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation plans.
Manage safety, quality, and compliance risks.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality and industry standards.
Ensure all work meets regulatory and specification requirements.
Client and Stakeholder Management
Serve as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
Provide regular updates and address issues promptly to maintain strong relationships.
Procurement & Resource Management
Manage tracking of materials, equipment, and labor resources.
Coordinate deliveries and resolve supply chain issues.
Health and Safety
Enforce health and safety compliance across all project sites.
Implement safety procedures to reduce risk and ensure legal compliance.
Project Closeout
Conduct final inspections and manage occupancy approvals.
Turn over O&M manuals, warranties, and as-builts.
Ensure client sign-off and satisfaction.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in delivering construction (ideally civils) projects on time and within budget.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Knowledge of construction techniques, codes, and standards.
Mandatory Certifications: SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, First Aid, Full UK Driving Licence.
