How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Since our establishment in 2014, we have grown rapidly to become a business with annual revenues exceeding £100 million, built on strong values of people, quality and service.
As we continue to invest in technology, infrastructure and growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in supporting operational and commercial decision making across the business.
    Role Summary
The Senior Finance Business Partner will play a key role in supporting operational and commercial performance across ISS. Working closely with the Finance Director and senior operational management, the role holder will provide timely, accurate and actionable insight to support decision-making, improve labour efficiency, ensure appropriate cost recovery and identify opportunities to enhance revenue and margin performance. The role will also lead and develop two Finance Business Partners, ensuring high-quality analysis, reporting and business partnering support across the business.

    * Analyse operational performance by site, customer and SKU, using Excel, Power BI and other business intelligence tools to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
    * Provide timely feedback and insight to operational management, with the expectation that key performance analysis is shared within three working days of activity wherever reasonably practicable.
    * Monitor packaging unit costs and work closely with the ISS Packaging team to ensure rate cards and costing models appropriately reflect cost movements, order quantities and future pricing pressures.
    * Support commercial decision-making by identifying opportunities to improve cost recovery, reduce waste, protect margin and maximise revenue.
    * Ensure key operating cost issues are communicated to the Finance Director and accurately reflected in management accounts, forecasts and relevant performance reporting.
    * Lead, coach and develop two Finance Business Partners, setting priorities, reviewing outputs and ensuring consistent high standards of business partnering support.
    * Build strong working relationships across Finance, Operations, Planning, Packaging and site management teams, providing constructive challenge and practical support.
    * Contribute to continuous improvement in reporting, data quality, dashboarding and business intelligence, helping to make information more accessible and actionable for operational teams.
    * Support the Finance Director with ad hoc analysis, projects and other duties commensurate with the seniority of the role.
    Qualifications and Skills
    * Qualified accountant or qualified by experience, ideally to CIMA, ACCA or equivalent level.
    * Strong experience in finance business partnering, management accounting, operational finance, planning or commercial analysis.
    * Excellent analytical capability, with substantial experience of financial modelling, performance analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel.
    * Strong working knowledge of Power BI and business intelligence tools, including the ability to build reports for use by both Finance and operational stakeholders.
    * Ability to translate complex operational and financial data into clear, practical insight and recommendations.
    * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and influence decision-making.
    * High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work independently under pressure and to strict deadlines.
    * Organised and methodical approach, with the flexibility to respond to changing operational priorities.
    * Experience managing, coaching or developing team members in line with company policies and procedures.
