Job Title: Primary Teacher

Pay: £140 to £180 per day (depending on experience)

I’m Dan, and I’ve been working closely with primary schools for the past two years, supporting them with their recruitment needs. I’m currently working with a number of schools in Basildon who are looking for flexible Primary Teachers to provide general cover across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. This role is ideal for those seeking day-to-day, short-term, or ongoing work, depending on availability.

The Primary Teacher role involves delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and on track with their learning. You’ll be expected to adapt confidently to different year groups and classroom environments. Working hours are typically 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent experience teaching in UK primary schools
Strong classroom management skills
The ability to adapt quickly to new schools and year groups
A positive, professional, and reliable approach
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
