We are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 (C) Waste Day drivers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a HGV Class 2 vehicle to collect waste either from domestic or commercial premises efficiently and safely.This role offers an excellent temp to perm opportunity for individuals with a background in driving HGV Class 2 (C) vehicles. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and a commitment to safety.
Duties
* Safely operate a HGV Class 2 (C) lorry in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
* Collection of waste, ensuring timely and accurate collections
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
* Follow all health and safety protocols, including adherence to driving hours regulations.
Qualifications
* Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record
* Expereinced HGV 2 (C) Drivers Essential - 12 months or more
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members
* Knowledge of health and safety standards
* Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational skills and reliability
Monday to Friday -- starts 0600 (6am) to 1400 (2pm)
PAYE Pay rates:
£17.67per hour - holidays accrued
£19.80 per hour - Holidays included
Annual salary - 36K-40K
