How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Mechanical Project Manager

    Location: Longcross, Surrey
Site Based | Temp to Perm Opportunity
    Mechanical Building Services

I’m currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join an established M&E contractor on a project based in Longcross, Surrey.

This is a site-based position and would suit a hands-on Mechanical PM who is comfortable taking responsibility for both the delivery of the mechanical package on site and the technical and administrative requirements that come with running a project.

The initial opportunity can be offered on a temporary to permanent basis, with the intention of moving the successful candidate onto further projects within the surrounding area.

    The role will include:

    * Managing the mechanical package from site through to completion

    * Coordinating subcontractors, labour and site activities

    * Preparing and managing technical submissions

    * Placing orders and managing procurement of materials and equipment

    * Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information

    * Managing RFIs and project documentation

    * Programme management and monitoring progress against key dates

    * Attending client, design and progress meetings

    * Coordinating with electrical, construction and other trades

    * Managing variations and keeping accurate project records

    * QA, commissioning and handover documentation

    * Ensuring all required PM paperwork and project administration is kept up to date

    What I’m looking for:

You will ideally be an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong building services background and a good understanding of HVAC, pipework, plant and associated mechanical systems.

This isn't purely a site management position, so you must be comfortable with the technical, procurement and paperwork side of project management, including technical submissions and placing orders.

You will also need to be within a sensible commute of Longcross, as this is a site-based role and there is potential for further work locally following completion of the initial project.

If you're an experienced Mechanical PM looking for a long-term opportunity with a busy M&E contractor, I'd be keen to have a conversation.
