THE ROLE
As Service Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the aftersales department, ensuring the workshop and service reception operate efficiently while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and financial performance.
Key responsibilities include:
·Managing the day-to-day operation of the service department
·Leading, motivating and developing the Service Advisors, Workshop Controller and Vehicle Technicians
·Driving departmental profitability through effective labour sales, workshop efficiency and customer retention
·Monitoring and improving key performance indicators including labour sales, efficiency, utilisation and CSI
·Ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered throughout the entire aftersales journey
·Managing workshop loading to maximise productivity and minimise downtime
·Supporting recruitment, training and performance management within the department
·Maintaining manufacturer standards, warranty compliance and health & safety procedures
·Working closely with senior management to achieve departmental and business objectives
ABOUT YOU
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
·Previous experience as a Service Manager within a franchised dealership or large automotive business
·A proven track record of leading successful aftersales departments and achieving departmental targets
·Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills
·Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to drive profitability and customer satisfaction
·Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
·The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment
·Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
·Full UK Manual Driving Licence
