We are seeking an experienced and driven Material Planner to manage the materials flows into the site for core business and product pipeline. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team, who have a desire to produce better food naturally.
The Role
The successful Material Planner will:
* Run and maintain Material Requirement Planning (MRP) cycles within site Enterprise Resourcing Planning (ERP) systems to schedule and purchase to production requirements
* Convert demand plan into material supply requirements across all live SKU’s and Bill of Materials (BOM) levels
* Ensure timely availability of raw materials (Mainly additives/ingredients) to meet production schedules
* Identify material shortages, excess and obsoletion risks and propose and mitigate real solutions
* Collaborate closely with Procurement on supplier capacity, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ’s) and lead time alignments
* Support Supply planner with production planning when required
* Maintain data accuracy within ERP systems down to BOM level
The Candidate
The successful Material Planner will have:
* Experience within a planning role (MRP Planning, Production Planning, Supply Planning or Materials) within the food industry.
* Strong ERP experience and proficient user of Excel
* Experience in BOM level details, structures, lead times, MOQ logic and safety stock calculations
* Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
