The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently recruiting for a Day Hygiene Operative to join an established team within a busy food manufacturing environment. This vacancy has become available as the current Hygiene Operative moves into a fixed-term Production Operative role.
The role operates on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, working 12-hour day shifts from 06:00 to 18:00.
You will join a team of four Hygiene Operatives and will never be required to work alone. The team operates on a staggered shift pattern, ensuring that there are always two team members on shift each day and providing seven-day coverage across the site.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out daily hygiene and janitorial duties throughout the factory.
Clean factory fabric, including walls, ceilings and floors, using a range of cleaning equipment such as brushes, squeegees and floor scrubbers.
Clean and maintain factory sinks, bins, hygiene utensil shadow boards and associated equipment.
Clean and maintain equipment including boot washers, bin washers and tray washers.
Carry out periodic deep-cleaning activities within designated areas.
Support audit preparation through targeted cleaning activities.
Accurately complete cleaning records and relevant paperwork, providing clear evidence of task completion and hygiene performance.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety at all times.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience working in an industrial or factory-cleaning environment.
Experience with chemical handling and usage is beneficial, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
The ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team.
A good understanding of English, with the ability to follow instructions and complete task sheets accurately.
High personal hygiene standards and a professional approach to your work.
As this is a food manufacturing site that regularly welcomes visitors and VIPs, maintaining a consistently high standard of personal hygiene, cleanliness and professionalism is essential.
