We are currently recruiting for a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school based in South East London for a September start.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and behavioural needs. The school is looking for a strong role model who can build positive relationships, manage challenging behaviour, and help pupils re-engage with education.
The role would suit someone with experience in schools, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, residential support, SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASD, challenging behaviour, and emotional regulation needs
Working 1:1 and in small groups to improve confidence, engagement, and behaviour
Helping students stay focused and involved in lessons
Supporting behaviour management using calm and consistent strategies
Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Supporting pupils during transitions, break times, and structured activities
Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and external professionalsThe Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience supporting young people with behaviour or SEMH needs
Be confident, calm, and resilient in challenging situations
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Be able to act as a positive role model
Have a genuine passion for helping vulnerable pupils succeed
Be reliable, proactive, and able to use their own initiativeThe Role Offers:
