Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time position, with the school ideally looking to appoint permanently, although fixed-term contracts and long-term supply arrangements will also be considered.

The successful candidate will teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential KS5 opportunities depending on experience. You will join a supportive Humanities department committed to delivering engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, discussion, and critical thinking.

The role will involve:

Teaching Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 opportunities
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that encourage discussion and reflection
Supporting students of all abilities in a positive and inclusive learning environment
Working collaboratively with the Humanities department to develop resources and curriculum content
Encouraging students to think critically about religion, ethics, and contemporary issuesThe ideal candidate will:

Hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education
Be confident managing behaviour and creating a positive classroom environment
Be committed to inclusive teaching and high standards of learning
Be suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs)In return, the school offers:
