Responsibilities
* Operate baling machinery safely and efficiently to compress recyclable materials into manageable bales
* Monitor equipment during operation, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues as they arise
* Load materials into the baler using appropriate lifting techniques and tools, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting
* Inspect bales for quality control, ensuring they meet size and safety standards before storage or shipment
* Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to promote a safe and organized workspace
* Complete all required documentation accurately, including production logs and safety checklists
* Follow all safety guidelines and participate in regular safety training sessions to prevent accidents
Experience
* Mechanical knowledge or experience operating industrial machinery is highly preferred
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in a physically demanding environment
* Prior experience in manufacturing, recycling, or warehouse settings is advantageous but not mandatory
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety procedures and quality standards
