Are you an experienced Senior Procurement Officer with a background in sub-contractor procurement rather than materials buying? Have you negotiated and managed high-value subcontract packages on major construction projects and want to join a business delivering some of the UK's most technically challenging developments?
This is a rare opportunity to join a leading international general contractor delivering landmark projects across the industrial / data centre market. Working from their office in Gerrards Cross, you will play a key role in the commercial procurement of subcontract packages across multiple live projects, reporting directly to the Procurement Director.
This is not a buyer position. We are looking for someone with genuine subcontract procurement experience who understands construction delivery, commercial negotiations and package procurement from enquiry through to order placement.
The Role
? Procure subcontract packages from enquiry through to placement.
? Negotiate commercial terms and secure best value agreements.
? Review drawings, specifications and scope documents.
? Analyse quotations and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
? Work closely with estimating, commercial and project delivery teams.
The Person
? Experience procuring construction subcontract packages.
? Background working for a main contractor or specialist subcontractor.
? Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
? Quantity Surveying or commercial background advantage.
