Senior Site Manager / Project Manager - The Company
This Senior Site Manager / Project Manager opportunity is with a successful and growing residential main contractor delivering high-quality new build affordable housing developments for leading Housing Associations.
With a strong reputation, an expanding order book and a commitment to quality, they deliver traditional build and timber frame housing developments across the region. Projects are typically between 30 and 80 units, with a focus on programme, workmanship and long-term client relationships.
Senior Site Manager / Project Manager - The Role
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Site Manager or Project Manager to take full responsibility for delivering a new build residential development of approximately 50 homes.
Reporting to a Regional Contracts Manager, you will lead the site team from start through to completion, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will take ownership of all day-to-day site operations while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors and the wider project team.
Senior Site Manager / Project Manager - Responsibilities
* Managing the day-to-day delivery of a new build residential development
* Leading subcontractors, site teams and direct labour
* Producing and managing short-term programmes (2-3 week look-aheads)
* Driving programme, quality, health & safety and productivity on site
* Coordinating trades to ensure efficient project delivery
* Monitoring progress and reporting to the Contracts Manager
* Managing site logistics, materials and resources
* Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring high finishing standards
* Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
* Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to specification
Senior Site Manager / Project Manager - Requirements
* Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager or Project Manager with a residential main contractor
* Strong experience delivering new build housing developments (not developer-only experience)
* Experience managing projects of at least 30 units simultaneously
* Good understanding of design and build projects
* Able to produce and manage short-term construction programmes
* Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
* Good IT skills and experience using construction management systems
* Committed to delivering high standards of quality, safety and customer satisfaction
* Full UK driving licence
* Able to commute daily to the Melksham area
