Stafforce are recruiting experienced Machine Operators for our client based in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a production or manufacturing background who enjoy working in a hands-on environment and are confident operating machinery.
You'll become part of a supportive team where full training is provided, with opportunities to expand your skills and develop your career within manufacturing.
The Role
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machinery, including sewing machines, while supporting the wider production team to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and to high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operating machinery, including sewing machines, safely and efficiently
Setting up, adjusting and monitoring machines during production runs
Carrying out general production and manufacturing duties as required
Performing quality inspections to ensure products meet required standards
Following company procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Supporting colleagues and contributing to a productive team environment
What We're Looking For
Essential
Previous experience working within a production, manufacturing, or industrial environment
Experience operating machinery within a manufacturing setting
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes
Desirable
Full UK Driving Licence
FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence or previous FLT experience
Willingness to undertake further training and gain additional certifications
