The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Role Summary
The HSE Advisor will support the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards across the business.
The role focuses on advising managers and teams, driving safe systems of work, supporting incident/near-miss investigations, and ensuring compliance with relevant HSE legislation, internal standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide competent HSE advice and guidance to managers, supervisors and the wider workforce.
* Conduct workplace inspections, audits and safety observations; identify gaps and track corrective actions.
* Support risk assessments and method statement development/review, ensuring controls are effective and understood.
* Facilitate induction, toolbox talks and training where required to promote safe working practices.
* Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, including root cause analysis, reporting and corrective/preventative actions.
* Monitor HSE performance metrics (e.g., TRIR/LTIFR, audit findings, actions overdue) and report trends to stakeholders.
* Support permit-to-work, LOTO, contractor management and safe working compliance (as applicable).
* Ensure environmental compliance, including waste management, spill prevention and reporting (as applicable to the site/activity).
* Maintain HSE documentation, including policies, registers, inspection records, training records and reports.
* Liaise with internal functions and external bodies (e.g., regulators, clients, certification/competency providers) when required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Proven experience in an HSE role (site-based or operational environment preferred). Working knowledge of UK HSE legislation and compliance requirements Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and related continuous improvement methodologies and management systems.
Strong capability in incident investigation, risk assessment and corrective action planning.
Experience conducting inspections/audits and influencing improvement through data and observation.
Good understanding of environmental practices relevant to the role (waste, emissions, spill response, compliance monitoring).
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organisation.
Competent administrative skills to maintain accurate records and produce clear reports.
Ability to prioritise workload, manage multiple actions and support time-bound compliance.
Qualifications (Preferred)
NEBOSH Diploma/General Certificate (or equivalent).
Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH or equivalent).
Relevant safety/environmental qualifications or training (e.g., investigating accidents, audit training).
