    Job description

Wolviston Management Services are supporting our client in the search for a skilled CNC Operator to join their night-shift machining team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing machine shop, producing precision-engineered components to exacting standards and playing a key role in maintaining high spindle uptime.

    About the Role
Working across a range of CNC equipment, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and overseeing high-speed machining processes including milling, drilling, tapping, grinding and related operations. You'll ensure work is delivered safely, accurately, and in line with production targets, while maintaining robust quality and documentation standards.

    Key Responsibilities

Set and operate CNC machines (3-axis, 4-axis and Renishaw probing) to deliver high-quality components.
Oversee general machine shop equipment as required.
Ensure correct tooling, fixtures, and CNC programmes are available before starting production.
Maintain accurate part counts, scrap data and production records.
Produce components to the required specification using engineering drawings.
Carry out basic programme and tool table edits.
Take ownership of product quality, completing checks and maintaining records.
Monitor, change and control tooling and cutters.
Load raw materials and workpieces safely and efficiently.
Check and replenish coolant and lubricant levels.
Work in line with company safety systems, standards, and operating procedures. About You
You'll bring proven CNC operating experience, a strong mechanical understanding, and a commitment to delivering consistently high standards. A keen eye for detail, the ability to work to deadlines, and confidence communicating within a busy production environment are essential
