The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Manager with a strong background in food manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be an effective leader who can deliver operational targets, develop high-performing teams, maintain exceptional food safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
• To ensure all operations and activities within their remit of control are
conducted in a Safe manner and in accordance with site Health & Safety
policy and in accordance with the site Quality Policy
• Lead, manage and motivate the site teams, coaching and encouraging people
to achieve results that meet targets and objectives (e.g. Right first time)
• Responsible for the entire planning function and data collection/stock and entry
relating to efficiency measurement for the site with direct focus on both daily
and strategic matters (in the absence of site planner)
• Challenge forecasts to ensure high forecasting accuracy and develop
monitoring mechanisms to enable review and improvement of demand
forecast accuracy (in the absence of site planner)
• Responsible for ensuring all the planning matrix’s/tools used on site are
updated and accurate in line with new launches and De-lists (in the absence of
site planner)
• Liaise with the buying team to ensure required raw /packaging materials are in
stock (in the absence of site planner)
• Review and challenge the daily/weekly plan for the site with the High Care
Area Manager to hit the labour targets.
• To ensure staff is trained and allocated as per the job function and training
matrix is updated accordingly.
Requirements:
* Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG
* environment, ideally with experience working within a High Care production area.
* Confident managing production teams.
* Knowledge of BRC Food Safety Standards and audit preparation.
* Experience with production planning, forecasting, labour management, and stock control systems.
* Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
