We're recruiting on behalf of a long-established engineering manufacturer whose bespoke equipment can be found supporting some of the UK's largest industrial businesses across sectors including mining, quarrying, recycling, power generation, and heavy industry.
Their reputation has been built over decades by delivering robust engineering solutions and developing long-term customer relationships founded on trust, technical understanding and reliability.
As the business continues to grow, they're looking to appoint a Sales Engineer to help look after an established customer base whilst identifying opportunities to further develop existing relationships.
The Role
This is predominantly an internal position based within the commercial team, with occasional travel to customer sites and industry exhibitions.
You'll become the first point of contact for many existing customers, understanding their requirements, preparing quotations, coordinating enquiries and ensuring projects progress smoothly from enquiry through to order.
Rather than chasing new business every day, your focus will be on maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding their operations and recognising opportunities to provide engineering solutions when they're needed.
Working closely with the design and engineering teams, you'll ensure customers receive practical, commercially viable solutions backed by excellent service.

* Can communicate confidently with engineers, buyers and senior decision makers.
* Has experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
* Understands the importance of customer service as much as winning new work.
* Is organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing multiple enquiries.
* Takes pride in representing a respected engineering business.
* Whether your background is technical sales, internal sales, applications engineering or customer account management, we'd be interested in hearing from you.
