The Role
As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machines to manufacture orthopaedic medical components. You’ll work with high-spec materials in a regulated environment where quality and accuracy are critical.
Key responsibilities include:
Setting and operating CNC machines (Milling and/or Turning considered)
Working to tight tolerances and detailed engineering drawings
Conducting in-process inspection using measuring equipment
Ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Working Hours (37.5 hours per week)
Rotating shifts (Monday to Friday):
Days: 6am – 2pm (Mon–Thurs), 6am – 11:30am (Friday)
Afternoons: 1:45pm – 10pm (Mon–Thurs), 11:15am – 3:45pm (Friday)
Salary & Overtime
Salary: £36k
Overtime rates:
T⅓ (weekdays)
T½ (Saturdays)
Double time (Sundays & Bank Holidays)

27 days annual leave + bank holidays, increasing to 32 days with service
(3 days reserved for Christmas shutdown)

About You
We’re looking for candidates who:
Must be Apprentice trained or Time-served
Have experience in CNC Machining (setting and operating with basic editing)
Can read and interpret engineering drawings
Have experience working to tight tolerances
Are quality-focused and detail-oriented
Are reliable and able to work rotating shifts
Location
Based in North Sheffield with good links to M1, with plentiful free onsite parking.
