About the Role - Cover Supervisor - Swindon
As a Cover Supervisor in Swindon, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that lessons run smoothly and students remain engaged and on task.
You will be working across a range of subjects, supporting students aged 11-16, maintaining a positive learning environment and upholding the school's behaviour policies.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students stay on task
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Supporting students with their learning where required
Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons
Creating a calm, focused, and productive classroom environmentThe Ideal Candidate:
Confident, organised, and adaptable
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
Experience working with young people (desirable)
A degree or relevant experience in education (beneficial)
Considering a career in teaching or education (advantageous)This role in Swindon would suit graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience in education, coaching, youth work, or similar settings. Previous classroom experience is beneficial but not essential.
