Gold Education Recruitment is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Recruitment Consultant to join our team in Chelmsford.
We’re not a huge corporate recruitment business with endless KPIs, call targets and layers of management. We’re a small, independent, family-run education recruitment agency where relationships, reputation and doing things properly genuinely matter.
Since launching in 2021, we’ve built strong relationships with schools and education professionals across Essex, and we’re now looking for an experienced consultant who can help us continue that growth.
The Role
We’re looking for someone who already understands recruitment and is confident managing and developing their own desk.
You’ll be responsible for building relationships with clients, developing new business, attracting and registering quality candidates and matching the right people with the right opportunities.
Your day-to-day role will include:
* Developing and managing your own recruitment desk
* Building relationships with new and existing clients
* Business development and generating new opportunities
* Sourcing, interviewing and registering candidates
* Managing vacancies from initial brief through to placement
* Making proactive sales and candidate calls
* Maintaining regular contact with clients and candidates
* Working closely with our compliance team to ensure candidates are ready for work
* Developing long-term relationships rather than focusing purely on quick wins
Who We're Looking For
Previous recruitment experience is essential.
You don't necessarily need to come from education recruitment. We're more interested in finding someone who understands the recruitment industry, knows how to build a desk and enjoys developing genuine relationships with clients and candidates.
You’ll ideally be:
* An experienced Recruitment Consultant or Senior Recruitment Consultant
* Confident with business development and picking up the phone
* Experienced in managing a recruitment desk
* Commercially aware and motivated to grow your business
* Personable, professional and comfortable building long-term relationships
* Self-motivated and able to work without being micromanaged
* Honest and straightforward in the way you work
* Someone who wants to contribute to the growth of a smaller independent agency
