The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Experienced Site Manager with a strong background in fire protection to oversee daily operations across a large commercial site in Sheffield.
The project works will be taking place out of hours i.e. nights. You'll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest compliance standards. This is a hands‑on role suited to individuals with a proactive focus and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day site operations on fire stopping, fire door, and compartmentation projects.
* Ensure all works comply with UK fire safety regulations, RAMS, and company procedures.
* Maintain site documentation, reports, RAMS, and compliance records.
* Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
* Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Manage daily site records, accurate reporting and progress reports.
Essential Requirements
* Experience in fire protection (e.g., passive fire protection, fire stopping, fire doors, or sprinkler systems)
* SMSTS, CSCS and 1st Aid certification
* A proactive, hands-on attitude.
* Strong understanding of UK fire safety regulations and construction site management
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
* FIRAS, BM TRADA, or similar accreditation knowledge desirable
