The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Red Sky Personnel are working alongside a well-established civil engineering contractor self-delivering works on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure schemes. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of works on a major infrastructure package in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor working on a nationally significant project involving complex civil engineering and infrastructure works.
The Role
The Site Engineer will support the technical delivery of site operations, ensuring works are carried out safely, accurately and in line with programme and quality requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out setting out for a range of civils works including earthworks, drainage, structures and infrastructure elements
Assisting with the management of day-to-day site engineering activities
Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
Supporting site teams and subcontractors with technical guidance
Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and quality standards
Maintaining accurate site records and as-built documentation
Assisting with the planning and sequencing of works on site
Promoting and maintaining strong health & safety standards
Requirements
Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
CSCS card (White CSCS – Academically Qualified Person preferred)
Experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Background within heavy civils, highways, rail, or infrastructure schemes beneficial
Experience with setting out, QA documentation and technical site support
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Experience using surveying equipment such as Leica, Trimble or Total Stations
Strong communication and organisational skills
