JOB ROLE: Mechanical Design Engineer
JOB TYPE: Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 39 hours per week - Monday to Thursday (7:15am – 4:15pm) and Friday (7:15am – 12:30pm) – Flexible for the right person
SALARY: £36,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year (Dependent on experience)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design and development of mechanical components using SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and Siemens NX.
* Collaborate with senior engineers to create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
* Conduct design reviews and participate in project planning meetings.
* Support the development of work holding solutions and machine tool setups.
* Perform analysis and testing of prototypes to ensure compliance with specifications and performance standards.
* Maintain accurate documentation of designs, changes, and testing results.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and quality assurance, to ensure successful project execution.
PERSON REQUIREMENTS
* Previous hands-on experience using Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor, or Siemens NX is required.
* An understanding of machine tools and workholding fixtures.
* A committed and driven approach to work.
