The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Morson Edge are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Production Engineer to work for one of our Aerospace/Defence clients based on the Wiltshire/Dorset border. This is a contract position for 6 months initially with the potential to go permanent.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support to manufacturing and assembly operations.
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for aerospace mechanical components and assemblies.
Create and maintain manufacturing instructions, process sheets, routings and bills of materials.
Support NPIfrom design through to production.
Conduct manufacturing feasibility and producibility assessments.
Investigate production problems using structured root-cause analysis techniques.
Implement corrective and preventative actions to eliminate recurring manufacturing issues.
Support non-conformance investigations and disposition activities.
Work with Design Engineering to resolve drawing, tolerance and manufacturability issues.
Develop and optimise mechanical assembly processes.
Implement lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Ensure production processes comply with company procedures and applicable aerospace standards.
Maintain accurate engineering and manufacturing documentation.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Experience in a mechanical manufacturing or production engineering environment.
Good understanding of mechanical manufacturing and assembly processes.
Experience providing technical support directly to production.
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to engineering problems
