TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Derby. The school has a supportive leadership team and a strong focus on delivering a broad and engaging curriculum, encouraging students to develop both academically and creatively.
The school is looking to appoint a Design Technology Teacher on a full-time basis from immediate start through to July 2026, with the potential for a permanent position from September 2026. The successful Design Technology Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students of mixed abilities and maintaining high expectations within the classroom.
The successful Design Technology Teacher will have:
• QTS with a Design Technology specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Design Technology up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
• Ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons
• A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
