The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and truly multi-skilled Primary Area Technician to join our engineering team. This is a hands-on role requiring both electrical and mechanical expertise within a fast-paced operational environment. You will play a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across the primary area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance activities
* Responding to breakdowns and system defects, always prioritising safety
* Diagnosing faults, servicing and maintaining equipment, machinery and systems
* Identifying performance issues and implementing corrective actions
* Monitoring and assessing external contractors carrying out repair work
* Compiling end-of-shift reports, time usage reports and defect reports
* Recommending improvements to enhance machine reliability and efficiency
* Maintaining company regulation, safety, hygiene and quality procedures
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives through observation and process development
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who is:
* Truly multi-skilled – both mechanically and electrically qualified
* SVQ/NVQ Level 3 (minimum) in a relevant engineering discipline
* Experienced in fault finding and diagnostics
* Ideally experienced within an FMCG environment
* A strong communicator (verbal and written)
* Confident with influencing and interpersonal skills
* Positive, resilient, adaptable and eager to learn
* A team-oriented individual with a proactive mindset
Working Hours
2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off.
05.30 – 18.00 shift pattern – 40 hours
On Sunday 05.30 – 17.30
