The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently seeking an experienced Working Site Supervisor to join a prestigious construction project in Edinburgh City Centre.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Supervisor who enjoys leading from the front — managing a team of Joiners while also getting involved on the tools when required.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing a team of Joiners on site, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This is a working supervisory position, so you'll be expected to manage and coordinate the team while also assisting with joinery duties as required.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising and coordinating a team of Joiners
* Working alongside the team and assisting with joinery duties
* Ensuring work is completed to the required quality and programme
* Coordinating daily activities and allocating tasks
* Maintaining high standards of health & safety on site
* Liaising with Site Management and other trades
* Monitoring progress and reporting any issues
* Leading by example and maintaining a positive site environment
Requirements
* SSSTS minimum qualification
* Valid CSCS card
* Proven experience supervising Joiners on construction projects
* Strong joinery background with the ability to work on the tools
* Good understanding of site health & safety requirements
* Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on
* Reliable, organised and professional approach
