We are looking for an experienced, commercially focused Marketing Manager to take ownership of the marketing strategy across a diverse, multi-faceted business encompassing events, hospitality, retail and customer experiences.

This is a hands-on role where you will develop and execute marketing strategies that directly drive revenue, increase sales conversions and deliver sustainable business growth. You will be responsible for increasing event attendance, growing the customer base and maximising engagement, while continually identifying new ways to improve efficiency, consistency and overall commercial performance.

The key objective is: measure the impact of marketing activity, identify opportunities to improve, and ensure every campaign and investment ultimately delivers more customers, greater engagement and increased revenue. This role is Monday to Friday on site in Pontefract.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and deliver the overall marketing and customer growth strategy across the business.

* Lead the marketing of all events, tracking campaigns, ticket sales and conversion rates to continually increase attendance.

* Analyse marketing performance and ROI, identifying what works, what doesn't and where investment should be increased or reduced.

* Manage the marketing budget and ensure spend delivers measurable commercial results.

* Develop new ideas and strategies to grow the customer base, increase repeat visits and generate additional revenue.

* Understand and segment the target customer base, using customer data and insights to ensure each social media platform is reaching the right audience with the right content, messaging and campaigns to maximise engagement, conversions and customer growth.

* Identify and introduce new ways of working to improve efficiency, consistency and productivity across marketing and events.

* Review existing processes and introduce systems, tools and reporting that make marketing activity more streamlined and measurable.

* Use customer data, sales information and market trends to identify new opportunities for growth.

* Test new marketing channels, campaigns and customer initiatives, measuring results and adapting the strategy accordingly.

* Ensure consistent branding, messaging and customer communications across all areas of the business.

* Manage and support a small marketing team, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance.

* Work closely with the wider business to identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and overall customer experience.

* Continuously look for new ideas, innovations and commercial opportunities that can increase customer engagement, footfall and revenue.

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded and can demonstrate that they use data and measurable results to drive decisions. You will be proactive, creative and confident introducing new ideas, improving processes and challenging existing ways of working.

You will need strong organisational and analytical skills, experience managing budgets and ideally experience within events, hospitality, leisure, retail or another customer-focused environment
