Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
Friday: 07:00 – 12:00
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Beam Saw Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Worcester (Blackpole). This is a great opportunity for a skilled operator looking for a long-term position with potential to go permanent.
About the Company: The company specialises in manufacturing high-quality, bespoke worktops and work surfaces for a range of industries including engineering, manufacturing, laboratories, and electronics.
Their products include:
Wooden / hardwood worktops
Steel and stainless steel worktops
Anti-static (ESD) worktops for electronics
Laminate and compact worktops
Heavy-duty surfaces for engineering and manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
Operating a beam saw to cut materials accurately to specification
Setting up and adjusting the beam saw machinery for different jobs
Reading and interpreting cutting lists and technical drawings
Ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality in all cuts
Loading materials onto machinery and ensuring correct positioning
Wrapping finished products and preparing them for dispatch
Assisting with general factory duties when required
Maintaining machinery and keeping the work area clean and safe
Requirements:
Previous experience operating a beam saw or similar woodworking machinery is essential
Ability to read technical drawings and cutting specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
