About the Opportunity

Energy Programmes is one of our newest Business Units and has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power. Our embedded teams are delivering support to Hinkley Point C (New build power station in the South West), Sizewell C (located in the South East), helping develop technologies in SMR (Small modular Reactor) capability and working towards building Poland's first Energy Power station.

Working in both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

Amentum are currently looking to recruit a Civil Engineer to carryout the following key duties:

* Carrying out and coordinating review and acceptance of deliverables in their scope of activity.

* Producing building specific documents such as handover reports or hypothesis notes.

* Responsibility of raising, following up of building specific technical open points as a first point of contact for the L3 civil designer.

* Supporting the civil team lead and deputy for the resolution of transverse/complex technical open points.

* Supporting the civil team lead, deputy and contract engineering lead in coordination with L3 civil designer and other stakeholders for producing the design.

* Coordinating and carrying out the resolution of building specific technical topics and tracks the evolution of these activities in their scope of activity.

* Supporting the contract engineering lead for the preparation of progress reports for the Client Project Manager and alerts of any technical risks to program

* Supporting the contract engineering lead for reviewing technical proposals for variations and supporting the detailing engineering lead for building specific questions

* Collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure alignment of EPRE objectives

* Support minor change Committee on NCC governance process when necessary

* Serve as a single point of contact on building dedicated technical topics between CELs, CNEPE, L3 detailer and work package contractor

* Carrying out and coordinating review and acceptance of deliverables in their scope of activity

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in civil engineering

* Civil engineering design office experience (variable depending on the level of the service required), particularly in the design and detailing of industrial reinforced concrete structures.

* Experience in the nuclear sector would be advantageous.

* Reinforced concrete design and RC detailing of complex reinforced concrete structures with ability to use ETC-C and Eurocodes

* Knowledge and understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering and knowlwdge about Construction Design and Management regulations 2015.

* Experience in detailing. Knowledge on 3D modeling using Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Revit Knowledge of BIM standards and Revit Family Creations (Added Advantage).
