How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Technical Services Manager

    Bristol | £60M Fit-Out Project

    A leading specialist contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Services Manager to take a key leadership role on a major, high-value commercial fit-out in Bristol.

    This is an opportunity to join a technically driven business delivering complex, design-led projects where MEP coordination, innovation, and quality are critical to success.

    The Opportunity

    You will act as the technical lead on a flagship project, overseeing the full lifecycle from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. This role offers real influence — both on project outcomes and the development of technical teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead technical delivery across a large-scale, complex commercial fit-out

    Provide oversight of MEP design, coordination, and installation

    Manage and mitigate technical and design risk

    Drive design programmes, technical trackers, and interface management

    Ensure compliance with UK regulations, client requirements, and best practice

    Oversee commissioning, validation, and handover processes

    Support procurement and subcontractor technical evaluations

    Act as the senior escalation point for technical issues

    Mentor and support Technical Services Managers and junior staff

    What We’re Looking For

    Strong background in building services / MEP contracting

    Proven experience delivering large commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects

    Track record in a senior technical leadership role

    Deep understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance

    Strong design coordination and problem-solving ability

    Experience with document control systems (e.g. Procore or similar)

    Confident in client-facing environments

    Desirable:

    Chartered Engineer (or working towards)

    Experience on high-value (£30M+) projects

    Ability to manage multiple workstreams or projects
