Multitask Recruitment Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing business based in Lytham St Annes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to join an established team and play a key role in keeping machinery, equipment and production processes running safely and efficiently.
The Role
As Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, diagnosing mechanical faults and supporting improvements to machinery and equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
* Responding to mechanical breakdowns and carrying out effective fault finding.
* Repairing and maintaining production machinery and mechanical equipment.
* Working on bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, motors and mechanical drives.
* Identifying recurring faults and recommending improvements.
* Carrying out routine inspections and servicing.
* Supporting machinery installation and improvement projects.
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
* Working closely with production teams to minimise machinery downtime.
* Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised engineering environment.
About You
We are looking for a practical, reliable and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with strong fault-finding skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
* Experience working with industrial machinery.
* A recognised engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
* Good knowledge of preventative and reactive maintenance.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills and a professional approach.
* A strong commitment to health and safety.
* A proactive attitude towards machinery reliability and continuous improvement.
