TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic SEND School in Leicester that is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive and supportive learning environment. The school is committed to meeting the individual needs of every pupil, promoting independence, confidence and personal development while ensuring all learners can access a meaningful and engaging curriculum.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teacher on a temporary to permanent basis from September 2026. The successful SEND Teacher will work with pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism / ASD, learning difficulties, communication needs and SEMH, delivering tailored lessons and adapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning requirements while supporting positive outcomes across the school.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
• QTS or QTLS
• Experience teaching children and young people with SEND
• Knowledge of Autism / ASD, SEMH, learning difficulties and communication needs
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to differentiate learning to meet individual needs
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach to teaching
