About the Role
As Controller in Rotterdam, you will oversee critical finance and control processes and act as the primary representative of Finance within the business. While many operational financial tasks are managed by shared service centres, your expertise will ensure high-quality financial reporting, continuous improvement of processes, and alignment with local and global compliance standards. You will be part of a team in Rotterdam, supported by an international network of experts, delivering best-in-class business and financial support.

Your Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed monthly management reports for leadership teams and regional finance.
- Ensure accuracy in financial statements (NL-GAAP).
- Coordinate external audits and liaise with internal stakeholders.
- Partner with business units to develop forecasts, analyses, and insights on performance.
- Collaborate with offshore shared service centres for accurate transaction recording.
- Lead and simplify finance processes, including SOX compliance and order-to-cash activities.
- Drive digital transformation by implementing advanced analytics tools and modern systems.
- Enable process standardization and encourage continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's degree in Business Economics or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a Controller or external audit role.
- Strong understanding of Dutch GAAP and related compliance standards.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and experience in financial reporting.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Proficiency in MS Power BI and Power Apps to address complex business challenges.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English (written and spoken).
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Resilience and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
