When you thought of the freezer, you thought of salt, frying fat, and far too many calories. Fortunately, time has not stood still, and all those unhealthy snacks are now being replaced by healthier and better alternatives. From crispy croissants and avocado chunks to ready-made pasta with seasoned chicken and grilled vegetables. But who freezes everything? Who stores it and ensures that everything is delivered to the right place - and at the right temperature - at the right time? You guessed it, our client. This company has a vision for the future of the frozen food aisle and is taking big steps to realize that vision. With serious investors on board, a strong buy-and-build strategy, and a good sense of the market, they want to serve the entire chain. From freezing to storage and transport - they do it all. And not only that, they ensure that all links in that chain connect seamlessly.
And the challenge for me?
Good question. Taking over a new company is mainly a legal exercise. A contract and a signature, and it's yours. But then the real work begins: turning all those smaller pieces into one big company. This is where you come in! You are the flying Dutchman (or 'all-rounder') who quickly maps the IT landscape, puts things in order, and takes the first steps toward integrating the different companies. From ERP, WMS, TMS, CRM, and Finance to servers, networks, and cloud environments - if you see a problem or a lack of knowledge, you jump in and solve it so that everything keeps working. But don't worry, you're not doing it alone. Where necessary, you call in help, from a direct colleague or an external party.
What do you need me to be able to do?
With your extensive experience in IT Admin, System Engineering, or IT integration, you know exactly how to keep a complex IT environment well-organized. You allow on-premise and cloud systems to communicate with each other seamlessly, you keep a sharp eye on data quality, security, and governance, and you explain technical topics clearly to everyone involved. Certain certifications are a plus, such as iPaaS, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Azure Data Engineer. Prefer a nice scannable list? Here we go:
- Extensive experience with managing and expanding Microsoft environments
- Experience with IT integration, using tools like Boomi, MuleSoft, or Azure
- Knowledge of APIs, middleware, EDI, and data pipelines
- Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, CRM, and Finance applications
- Security and compliance (GDPR, NIS2, ISO 27001) experience is a great bonus
You understand how infrastructure, networks, and core business applications work and have an eye for data and security. Practical, analytical, and reliable, you like to dive straight into a problem, but you can switch just as easily from small fixes to larger improvements. You don't wait; you tackle things and see them through. Learning? You are always busy with that, because whoever stops learning stops growing.
Frozen food is cheap though, and I'm not
Don't worry, you will receive a good salary between €80,000 and €100,000 gross per year based on your experience and knowledge. So no issues paying for fresh produce.
