At the heart of the Parliament Centre of The Hague, located at a prestigious spot opposite the Royal Palace Noordeinde, Hotel Indigo The Hague – Palace Noordeinde opened it's doors in 2018. Once occupied by “De Nederlandsche Bank”, our boutique hotel with 63 rooms, restaurant Stocks&Bonds, The Gold Bar and 2 meeting rooms/private dining borrows some of these unique elements in its décor. Each Hotel Indigo is unique, and delivers a vibrant, engaging and genuine boutique experience that gives guests a real flavour of the neighbourhood – delivering an experience that is truly reflective of the local culture, character and geography.
A day in the life of…
As a member of the (evening/night) Front office team, you will be carrying out the following tasks:
Ensure a smooth check-in for our late arrivals;
Ensure an efficient check-out for our early departures;
Answer incoming calls, e-mails and guest requests;
Carry out the night audit of the hotel including the administrative and reporting tasks;
Perform a full property walk ensuring the guest safety and remove any possible trays/ F&B items in the hallways;
Attend to any wake-up call requests;
Reply to guest feedback via our online reputation management tool & escalate neseccary action;
Carry out some small cleaning tasks to make sure our lobby and reception look spotless;
Set up the breakfast buffet for the breakfast team;
Send out the daily night report to the management;
Hand-over with your PM and AM colleagues;

What do we need from you?
- Communication skills: You will be required to interact with guests, colleagues, and other stakeholders daily. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to ensure effective communication and provide excellent customer service.
- Organisational skills: You will be responsible for managing guest reservations, checking guests in and out, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations at the front desk. Good organizational skills will help you manage your workload efficiently.
- Attention to detail: Inaccurate information or mistakes in bookings can lead to unhappy guests, lost bookings, and revenue. You should be detail-oriented to ensure that all guest information is accurate, and all bookings are processed efficiently.
- Technical skills: You’ll have basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and internet use. Additionally, some experience with hotel management software systems such as Opera or Fidelio will be an added advantage.
