As an operator, you are responsible for keeping the production line running smoothly during your shift. You set up the equipment, monitor the process and take action when the line needs adjustment. In general, your tasks are:
- Starting up, operating and adjusting filling and packaging lines.
- Checking product quality, packaging and process settings.
- Carrying out changeovers when switching to another product.
- Solving minor technical issues and reporting larger faults.
- Recording production data and important shift information.
- Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised.
- Working with colleagues to keep the line running efficiently.
- Suggesting practical improvements for safety, quality or output.
